The Role

This Global music company are seeking an Assistant to support the People department in the London office. Reporting to the People Manager, you will be responsible for assisting the team with an HR database integration project (WorkDay) and the administrative functioning of the department.

You will have previous experience of WorkDay having used the system in an HR capacity, and familiar with the different functions, such as reporting, benefits and payroll. You will also have HR administration experience and be able to handle projects independently and will be comfortable communicating with employees at all levels. You will have exceptional organisation skills, be a strong communicator, and a high level of attention to detail. You will be able to prioritise effectively, working in a high-volume environment across several time zones.

The Day to Day

  • Assisting the People Team with the current workday project, which involves transitioning their benefits and payroll to WorkDay. This will involve gathering data, preparing reports, system testing, entering HR records, analysing data
  • You will work closely with the UK People Team and assisting with various HR administrative tasks which will include maintaining employee records with updated documentation, producing reports, organisation charts, and other documents, reporting from Workday as required.
  • Assist with administering employee benefits and payroll.
  • Proactively resolving employee queries, advising where appropriate and escalating where necessary.
  • Supporting with ad hoc projects as required.
  • Partner with wider People team assistants to provide the department and employees a high level of service at all times.

What You’ll Need

  • Must have experience using Workday, and a high level of competence with MS Office programmes, particularly Word, Excel, Outlook and Powerpoint.
  • Significant experience as an HR Administrator, Assistant or Coordinator in a fast-paced environment, ideally within the entertainment industry.
  • Familiarity with UK employment law.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to develop strong, trusting business relationships.
  • Exceptional organisation skills, allowing you to manage competing priorities in an ever-changing environment.
  • Strong independent judgement, patience, resilience, and absolute discretion.
  • A positive, team-player attitude, and a commitment to ‘going the extra mile’, taking ownership of issues as they arise and seeing them through to resolution.
  • Keen attention to detail.
