The Role

The Financial Controller will oversee the Finance Team and ensure that all financial operations are accurate, efficient, and compliant. You must have a passion for finance, be able to drive positive change showing high EQ, be detail-oriented, and have strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

The role also requires you to lead and motivate the team. You must be able to understand and analyse complex financial data and must also be able to communicate financial information in a clear and concise way to both technical and non-technical audiences.

The role will require you to be aware of the wider business strategy and be able to contribute to its functional delivery providing clear and concise information to multiple stakeholders, even in challenging situations. You will also play a key role in creating a multi-year financial budget across the company, are able to make and communicate difficult decisions with support, and lead by example to foster an inclusive, diverse, and positive culture.

It is essential you are able to manage multiple entities simultaneously and work with stakeholders at all levels of the business to achieve financial goals.

Strong communication is essential with external parties such as auditors, HMRC, banks and insurers.  You will be maintaining effective financial control and partnering with the company’s joint ventures by performing bookkeeping, budgeting, variance analysis, trend analysis and other tasks.

What skills and experience would make you perfect for this role?

  • Lots of energy and motivation
  • Minimum 2 years years experience working at FC level, preferably within the music industry
  • Experience of managing and developing a Finance team
  • Strong reporting, analytical and problem solving skills
  • Excellent management and leadership skills
  • High level of integrity, detail oriented, organised and with solid written / verbal communication skills
  • Experience of presenting financial results to leadership / the board

Qualifications required

  • ACA, CIMA or ACCA Qualified
  • 3-5+ years of PQE
