Who is hiring?
A prestigious communications consultancy are looking for an Events Manager to help lead their events programme

This role would sit within the Marketing and Business Development team, and the candidate would be expected to work across the business, regularly interacting with Partners, Board and the HR team.

The role in a nutshell
● Developing the events offer and building the programme for the year, in line with
● marketing objectives
● Overall responsibility for the successful delivery of all events
● Leading on all aspects of event delivery, with support from Events Executive, including scouting locations, vendor relationships, negotiating contracts, briefing speakers and senior guests and managing budget
● Researching, negotiating, building relationships with suppliers whilst always ensuring the best value
● Leading the events for clients, ensuring successful delivery, on budget, and a smooth experience for the client
● Line Management of Events Executive
● Setting and tracking performance against KPIs for events and wider marketing function and feeding back event outcomes to senior stakeholders
● Advising on events in other markets as needed; potentially work with local delivery partners to execute them
● Co-ordinating with HR employment engagement lead on internal events programme
● Collaborating with the creative team to produce event assets
● Attending regular meetings with marketing and client teams to discuss marketing and events activity, and position the team as events experts
● Oversight of overall events budget and working with finance to ensure all spend is aligned
● Ability to flex/ cover across other marketing and events roles

● End to end event delivery – essential
● Line management experience or equivalent team management/ mentoring
● Consultancy / professional services background – preferred
● Ability to work confidently with senior stakeholders
● Ability to sell to and manage clients personally
● Ability to challenge the brands thinking and suggest new approaches
● Strong project management, multitasking and decision-making skills
● Great presentation skills
● Experience with online events platforms, such as On24, preferred
● CRM management experience – preferred
● Trouble-shooter and problem solver
● Unflappable under pressure, remaining calm and composed
● Able to manage multiple projects and deadlines
● Great team player and collaborative
● Strong line management skills
